We offer the most comprehensive ‘Chinese drywall’ inspection available. We have had a gas sensor built which detects the four V.O.C.’s (volatile organic compounds) which the State of Florida claims is gassing out of Chinese drywall. This testing is recommended on all southwest Florida homes built between 2003-2007.
The IQ1000 Mega Gas Sensor has a pump which provides continuous monitoring as we sample for each gas. This sensor detects sulphur dioxide, carbon disulfide and carbonyl sulfide in parts per million (PPM). It detects hydrogen sulfide in parts per ten million. Later, we download the sensor data log for inclusion with your report.
We also evaluate and document the condition of copper components such as wiring, plumbing and tubing. We also attempt to find a manufacturer’s label.
